Tutoring For Academic Success

We believe in holistic teaching that works on both the mental and emotional levels and treats each student as an individual. For each student, we work with the family to identify the optimal plan for helping their child excel in their academic environment. Throughout a student's academic journey, we are here to:

  • Provide support in their most challenging classes

  • Prepare them for the PSAT, SAT, ACT tests

  • Offer curriculum for enrichment should a student desire to advance beyond their normal coursework or learn special topics

We work with students of all ages in:

  • SAT/ACT/PSAT & AP Tests

  • Mathematics & Science

  • Orton-Gillingham & Lindamood-Bell Methods for Dyslexia

  • English and Writing

  • Learning Disabilities (Dyslexia, ADHD, Dyscalculia)

  • Special Topics: Astronomy, History, Philosophy & Debate, World Religions, Literature

Brett has been a professional educator since 2010, with a focus on learning differences, test prep, and literacy. After receiving his MA from Naropa University, he was trained in the Lindamood-Bell system for working with students with dyslexia, ADHD, and other learning differences. In his test-prep work, he teaches students to identify the subtle patterns in the test and use targeted strategies to effectively attack the various problem types. After working with Brett, motivated students have been able to achieve perfect and near-perfect scores in SAT/ACT verbal.
